After some impressive launch in the CES 2015, Toshiba has yet again come up with SD memory cards with built-in NFC feature. Japan headquartered company has launched Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) in three variant in terms of storage 8/16/32 GB.
This SDHC memory card, allows you to exchange data simply with a touch, by holding an NFC(Near Field Communication)-enabled Android smartphone(Android 4.0 to 4.4), with the app "Memory Card Preview" installed in it. Basically this app, lets you preview the available storage space, as well as 16 thumbnails (max.) of the photos stored in the card. It comes with UHS Speed Class 1, SD Speed Class 10.
However the pricing and the availability of these NFC enabled memory cards are unknown, we are expecting it to hit the shelves soon. On the other hand, Toshiba also launched FashAir III, a wireless SD card which allows users to share image, videos and files wirelessly. With its pass-through feature, it allows users to access the card and Internet simultaneously, enabling the ability to upload images in real-time.
Coming in two variants, Toshiba FlashAir III Wireless SD Card is priced at $79.99 (approx Rs. 5,000) for 16GB and $99.99 (approx Rs. 6,250) for 32GB. Users can avail this card from March 2015 at retail shops and on toshiba.com/us website.
